Letter From the Secretary-General

Dear Delegates,

My name is Shaan Shah, and it is my distinct honour to serve as the Secretary-General of the third annual Turner Fenton Secondary School Model United Nations Conference (TFSSMUN). On behalf of the entire Secretariat, it is my pleasure to welcome you to this year's conference.

Whether you are an experienced delegate or attending your very first Model UN conference, we are excited to provide an engaging and rewarding experience that will challenge, inspire, and help you grow. TFSSMUN has always been committed to fostering an environment where delegates can develop critical thinking, diplomacy, public speaking, negotiation, and leadership skills while engaging with some of the world's most pressing issues.

This year's conference features a diverse selection of committees, ranging from traditional General Assemblies to dynamic Crisis and Joint Crisis simulations. Every committee has been thoughtfully designed by our Directors, Chairs, and Dais teams to provide delegates with challenging debate, creative problem-solving opportunities, and an unforgettable committee experience. We encourage you to embrace your role, think critically, collaborate with fellow delegates, and approach every debate with confidence, professionalism, and an open mind.

The success of TFSSMUN would not be possible without the unwavering dedication of our Secretariat, staff members, volunteers, faculty advisors, and the countless individuals who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this conference a reality. Their commitment and passion have been instrumental in bringing this event to life, and for that, we are sincerely grateful.

However, the true spirit of TFSSMUN lies with you. Your ideas, determination, and enthusiasm are what transform committee rooms into spaces of meaningful discussion and impactful diplomacy. Every speech you deliver, every resolution you draft, and every challenge you overcome contributes to the unique experience that makes Model United Nations so rewarding.

Model United Nations has become an integral part of our high school journey, providing us with invaluable friendships, experiences, and opportunities for personal growth. It is our hope that TFSSMUN leaves the same lasting impact on each of you and inspires you to continue pursuing diplomacy, leadership, and global engagement long after this conference concludes.
